The Oregon Coast Recorder Society, the first chapter of the American Recorder Society in Oregon, was founded in  1992 by a small group of recorder enthusiasts on the central Oregon coast.  The chapter currently has nineteen members, who come from communities all over western Lincoln County.

In the summer of 2009, Director Corlu Collier and the Oregon Coast Recorder Society received the American Recorder Society's Presidential Special Honor Award, recognizing both Corlu's leadership of the local group, and our members' work in outreach to the larger recorder community.  OCRS award  Newspaper article
